Job Title: Sybase Data Modeler

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $92 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sybase Data Modeler to join our dynamic team. As a Sybase Data Modeler, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of complex data models for our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable data models. Your expertise in Sybase database design and data modeling will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data model designs.
• Develop logical and physical data models in Sybase based on business needs and industry best practices.
• Design and implement data structures, including tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing data validation and quality checks.
• Identify and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Work closely with developers to optimize database structures and query performance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data models and databases.
• Provide guidance and support to other team members on data modeling and database design.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements in data modeling practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Sybase Data Modeler.
• Extensive knowledge of Sybase database design and data modeling principles.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
• Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner.
• Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality data models on tight deadlines.
