Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Watson Query Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining query applications for our Watson platform. You will work closely with our data scientists and engineers to ensure efficient and accurate query processing, as well as continuously improve the capabilities of our Watson platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain query applications for our Watson platform
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand requirements and translate them into effective query solutions
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of query applications to ensure accuracy and performance
• Continuously monitor and improve query processing to enhance the overall capabilities of our Watson platform
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and cognitive computing to incorporate them into our query applications
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of code
• Document all query applications and processes for future reference
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to query applications in a timely manner
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing query applications
• Strong understanding of natural language processing and machine learning algorithms
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++
• Experience with query processing frameworks such as Apache Solr, Lucene, and Elasticsearch
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
