Position: Telecommunications Engineer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $92 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Telecommunications Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's telecommunications systems. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our communication networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement telecommunications systems, including wired and wireless networks, voice over internet protocol (VoIP) systems, and data networks.
• Conduct site surveys and analyze network requirements to determine the most appropriate solutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, such as routers, switches, and servers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to telecommunications systems, including network outages and connectivity problems.
• Monitor network performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure the integration of telecommunications systems with other company systems.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and system specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in telecommunications technology to make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VoIP, SIP, and MPLS.
• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Industry certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE, are preferred.
