Position: Writing Instructor

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $46 Per hour

Overview: Lobox is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Writing Instructor to join our team. As a Writing Instructor, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, from beginners to advanced writers, and help them develop their writing skills. Our ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, has a strong background in writing, and is committed to helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and effective writing curriculum for various levels of students
• Facilitate writing workshops and provide one-on-one instruction to students
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on their writing assignments
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to continuously improve the writing program
• Stay up-to-date with current writing trends and techniques to enhance teaching methods
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other company events
• Communicate regularly with students and parents to provide progress updates and address any concerns

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Creative Writing, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in a higher education setting
• Strong writing skills and a portfolio of published work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with students of all levels and backgrounds
• Passion for teaching and helping students succeed
• Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend classes, if needed
