Position: Principal Cloud Architect

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $320000 - $360000

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cloud Architect to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Principal Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for our company's products and services. You will play a critical role in defining our cloud strategy and driving the adoption of cloud technologies throughout the organization. This is a leadership position that requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture and a strong track record of successfully delivering complex cloud projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain our company's cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices
• Design, implement and manage highly scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud solutions for our products and services
• Lead the implementation of cloud-based initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery
• Define and enforce cloud architecture standards and best practices, including security, availability, performance, and scalability
• Conduct regular evaluations of our cloud infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
• Collaborate with other architects and engineers to ensure smooth integration of cloud-based solutions with existing systems
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior cloud architects and engineers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their adoption to enhance our company's cloud capabilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies and services, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns and best practices, including microservices, serverless, and containerization
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex cloud projects on time and within budget
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus
