Job Title: Principal Data Operations Engineer

Salary: $138 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Data Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Data Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our company's data systems. You will also be responsible for leading a team of data engineers and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, database architecture, and data analysis, along with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of data engineers in the development, deployment, and maintenance of our company's data infrastructure.
• Design and implement data management strategies to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and security of our data systems.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses to support our business needs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data systems, identifying and resolving any performance issues or errors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop solutions to meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in data management and recommend improvements to our data systems.
• Mentor and train junior data engineers to ensure the growth and development of the team.
• Communicate with stakeholders and provide regular updates on the status of data systems and projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering, data operations, or a similar role.
• Strong experience with data management, database architecture, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake or Redshift.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
