Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $209000 - $240000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Performance Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Performance Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing performance test strategies to ensure the quality and performance of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and product owners, to identify performance issues and provide recommendations for improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance testing and a passion for delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement performance test strategies for web and mobile applications
• Develop and maintain performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios
• Execute performance tests using various tools and techniques
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for performance improvement
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve performance issues
• Work closely with project managers and product owners to understand project requirements and timelines
• Lead a team of performance testers and provide technical guidance and mentoring
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in performance testing
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on performance-related issues
• Assist in the development and maintenance of performance testing frameworks and tools
• Communicate progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders in a timely and effective manner

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance testing for web and mobile applications
• Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies, tools, and techniques
• Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or Gatling
• Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C#
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality performance test results
• Knowledge of database performance testing and tuning is a plus
• ISTQB or similar performance testing certification is a plus
