Position: Lead Penetration Tester

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $123 Per hour

Position Summary: Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Penetration Tester to join our team. As a Lead Penetration Tester, you will be responsible for overseeing and conducting tests to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in our company's systems, networks, and applications. You will work closely with our development and security teams to ensure that our systems are secure and protected from potential cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of penetration testers, providing guidance and oversight on testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive penetration testing plans and strategies.
• Conduct thorough penetration tests on our company's systems, networks, and applications.
• Analyze and interpret test results to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation.
• Collaborate with our development and security teams to implement and monitor security controls and measures.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management, in a clear and concise manner.
• Mentor and train junior penetration testers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in penetration testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Strong understanding of network and web application security principles.
• Experience conducting and managing penetration tests in a variety of environments, including on-premises and cloud-based systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), are highly desirable.
