Salary: $138 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal SOC Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team. As a leading provider in the cybersecurity industry, we are dedicated to protecting our clients' networks, systems, and data from cyber threats. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our SOC team in identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, as well as developing and implementing strategies to improve our overall security posture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security operations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of SOC analysts in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents in real-time.
• Develop and maintain SOC procedures, processes, and workflows to ensure effective and efficient incident response.
• Analyze and investigate security alerts and events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct in-depth forensic analysis of security incidents to determine the root cause and impact.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement security controls and measures to prevent future incidents.
• Participate in incident response exercises and tabletop simulations to continuously improve the organization's readiness for cyber attacks.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Mentor and train junior SOC analysts to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in security operations, incident response, and threat detection.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, and CIS.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, such as Splunk, ArcSight, or QRadar.
• Proficient in conducting network and system security analysis using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and Sysmon.
• Familiarity with common cyber attack techniques, such as phishing, malware, and ransomware.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, or similar, are preferred.

Working Conditions: This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. As a Principal SOC Analyst, you may be required to work in a 24/7 environment and be available for on-call duties. You will also have the opportunity to work remotely and participate in occasional travel for conferences and training.
