About the Role: Lobox is seeking a highly motivated and talented Junior System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. As a Junior System Administrator, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining the company's computer systems and network infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and looking to kick start their career in the IT industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the company's computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
- Install, configure, and update software and applications on desktops, laptops, and servers
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data protection and disaster recovery
- Set up and maintain user accounts and permissions
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for improvements
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and make suggestions for implementing new tools and systems
- Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement new infrastructure and system upgrades
- Provide technical support to employees and assist with IT-related inquiries and requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Junior System Administrator or relevant role
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
