Job Title: Principal Platform Engineer

Salary: $138 Per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of our company's platform architecture
• Ensure the platform meets high standards of performance, scalability, and security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to define and deliver platform features and enhancements
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, and provide timely resolutions
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to the platform
• Drive continuous integration and delivery processes, and maintain a high level of code quality
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Manage and prioritize tasks and projects, and provide regular status updates to management
• Participate in hiring and onboarding processes to build and grow a high-performing engineering team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong experience with platform development, including designing and building highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems
• Expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
• Proficiency in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure
• In-depth understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, production-ready code
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Prior experience in a fast-paced and agile environment is a plus
