Position: Junior IT Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $60 Per hour

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior IT Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. As a Junior IT Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and collaborate with experienced professionals to support our company's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to end-users by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software applications
• Monitor and maintain network and system security, including firewalls and anti-virus programs
• Assist with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to email, printers, and other peripheral devices
• Support and maintain audio and video equipment for company meetings and events
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology solutions to improve business processes
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and make recommendations for their integration into the company's IT infrastructure
• Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including setting up user accounts and providing training on company systems and applications
• Document and maintain records of IT related processes and procedures
• Provide timely and accurate status updates to management and escalate issues as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems
• Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems
• Familiarity with network security and firewalls
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and stay updated on new technologies and industry trends
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are a plus
