Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement virtualization solutions based on business requirements and best practices.
Manage and maintain the virtualization infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
Monitor the performance and capacity of the virtualization environment and make recommendations for improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization, including performance, availability, and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the virtualization infrastructure meets the needs of various business units.
Develop and maintain documentation for the virtualization environment, including standard operating procedures, technical diagrams, and configurations.
Keep up-to-date with the latest virtualization technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in virtualization engineering or administration.
Strong experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or XenServer.
Experience with cloud-based virtualization platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
In-depth knowledge of server, storage, and networking technologies.
Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, such as hypervisors, virtual machines, and virtual networking.
Experience in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar certification.
Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Knowledge of software-defined networking and storage.
Experience with configuration management tools, such as Puppet or Chef.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and procedures.
