Job Title: Senior Software Release Manager

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $107 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Release Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Release Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the release process of our software products, ensuring timely and successful delivery to our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, quality assurance, and project management, to plan, coordinate, and execute software releases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development processes, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the release process of our software products, including planning, coordinating, and executing releases according to established timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define release scope, requirements, and timelines, and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain release plans, including project schedules, milestones, and dependencies.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact the release process, and proactively communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure all release activities are properly documented and communicated to relevant teams and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and optimize the release process, and implement best practices to increase efficiency and quality of releases.
• Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders, and communicate any changes to the release plan or schedule.
• Conduct post-release reviews to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Mentor and coach junior release managers, and provide guidance and support to team members as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software release management, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Proven experience in successfully managing complex software releases, including coordinating cross-functional teams and managing dependencies.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of release management tools and processes, such as version control systems, build and deployment tools, and release automation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
