Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Release Manager to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software release management processes and methodologies, as well as a strong technical background in software development. As the Principal Software Release Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire software release process, ensuring timely and high-quality releases of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software release plans, including timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, QA, and product management, to define release requirements and deliverables.
• Communicate release status and progress to stakeholders, including senior management, on a regular basis.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to the software release process.
• Establish and enforce release management best practices and standards.
• Continuously improve the release process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage the release team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful releases.
• Conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software release management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in release management.
• Proven experience in managing complex software release cycles.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
• In-depth knowledge of software release tools and technologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in project management is a plus.
