Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Database Developer to join our dynamic team. As the Principal Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's database systems. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security, integrity, and performance of our databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain our company's database systems, including data warehouses and operational databases.
• Develop and implement database standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize database performance by monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting issues.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data models, data dictionaries, and database architecture diagrams.
• Ensure data backup and disaster recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.
• Identify and recommend new database technologies and tools to improve data processing and storage.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior database developers.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in database development and management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in database development and management.
• Proven experience with database design, development, and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems, such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Proficient in SQL and database programming languages.
• Knowledge of database security and data integrity principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
