Job Title: Infrastructure Architect

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $100 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Architect to join our dynamic team. As an Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the overall infrastructure strategy for our company. This includes managing the technology infrastructure, identifying gaps and proposing solutions, and ensuring the infrastructure meets the current and future needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure design, implementation, and management, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the overall infrastructure strategy for the organization, including hardware, software, network, and cloud services.
• Lead the design and implementation of new infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, network, and security systems.
• Identify potential gaps in the current infrastructure and propose solutions to improve efficiency, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure aligns with business needs and objectives.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of the infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to ensure our infrastructure remains modern and competitive.
• Develop and maintain documentation of the infrastructure architecture, including system diagrams, configurations, and policies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the infrastructure team, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new infrastructure technologies and vendors.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, working with the team to resolve any problems that arise.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, communicating the status of infrastructure projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and management.
• Extensive knowledge of server, storage, network, and security systems.
• Strong experience in cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS, Microsoft, Cisco) are preferred.
