Job Title: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $190000 - $224000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's cloud infrastructure. You will also work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure solutions that are scalable, secure, and highly available.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, ensuring the overall health and stability of the cloud environment.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize application performance and deployment processes.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to improve our cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all cloud infrastructure processes and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 2 years working with cloud-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, with hands-on experience in at least one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications in cloud technologies such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge of security best practices in a cloud environment.
• Experience with database administration, particularly in cloud-based environments.
