Job Title: Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $138 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud-based infrastructure. You will work closely with other engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, availability, and security of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage our cloud-based infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and other related components
• Develop and maintain highly available and scalable cloud architecture that meets business and technical requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into cloud infrastructure solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences
• Ensure the security, compliance, and disaster recovery capabilities of the cloud infrastructure
• Automate processes and procedures to improve efficiency and scalability of the infrastructure
• Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the cloud infrastructure
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to cloud infrastructure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong knowledge of scripting and automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
• In-depth understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools like Jenkins and Git
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect are a plus
