Salary: $228000 - $256000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Release Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced organization. As the Lead Release Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the release process of our software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that releases are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest level of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, release management, and software development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end release process for all software products, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of releases.
• Work closely with product managers, development teams, and other stakeholders to define release scope, timelines, and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain release plans, schedules, and communication plans to ensure alignment across teams and timely delivery of releases.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate any potential issues that may arise during the release process.
• Monitor and track release progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and identifying and addressing any roadblocks or delays.
• Ensure that all release-related documentation, including release notes and user guides, are accurate and up-to-date.
• Lead release retrospectives to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in the release process.
• Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the release process.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior release managers, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in release management, preferably in a software development environment.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management best practices.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) is a plus.
