Position: Senior Network Systems Administrator

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $107 Per hour

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. As the Senior Network Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and security of our network systems, as well as identifying and implementing improvements to enhance overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain our network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement network security policies and procedures to protect against cyber threats.
• Conduct regular network audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
• Manage network access controls and permissions for users and devices.
• Install and maintain network hardware and software, including upgrades and patches.
• Keep abreast of emerging network technologies and recommend solutions to enhance our network capabilities.
• Train and mentor junior network administrators to ensure efficient and effective network management.
• Work closely with other departments to understand their network requirements and provide solutions to meet their needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network administration, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Experience with network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
