Salary: $107 Per hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Migration Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of database migration projects for our organization. You will work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and provide efficient solutions for database migration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database management and a strong understanding of migration processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement database migration strategies, including data mapping, data cleansing, and data validation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve any migration issues
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for database migration projects
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure data accuracy and integrity after migration
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members during migration projects
• Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders and management
• Troubleshoot and resolve any data migration related issues in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain database documentation for reference and training purposes
• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends to improve migration processes and efficiencies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in database management and migration
• Strong knowledge of database management systems, such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.
• Proficiency in data mapping and data modeling
• Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in cloud-based database migration is a plus
