Position: Principal Cloud Platform Engineer

Salary: $138 Per hour

Overview: Our company is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal Cloud Platform Engineer to lead our cloud infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud platform, ensuring that it meets the needs of our rapidly growing business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technology, a deep understanding of various cloud platforms, and a proven track record of leading successful cloud infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of our cloud platform, including infrastructure, applications, and services.
• Develop and maintain the technical roadmap for our cloud platform, identifying and implementing new technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient cloud solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the cloud infrastructure team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of our cloud platform, implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the cloud platform, working closely with other teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technology, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance our platform.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex cloud solutions, including infrastructure as code, containerization, and microservices.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex technical problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications in cloud technology (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.
