Position: Senior Cyber Threat Analyst

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $107 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Threat Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team. As a Senior Cyber Threat Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting our organization from cyber threats by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential risks. You will lead a team of analysts and work closely with various departments to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough research and analysis on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities to anticipate potential risks
• Monitor and investigate security events using various tools and techniques to identify and respond to potential threats
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures and controls to prevent and mitigate cyber attacks
• Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports and present findings to key stakeholders
• Lead and mentor a team of cyber threat analysts to ensure timely and accurate threat detection and response
• Utilize advanced security tools and techniques to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
• Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures
• Stay updated on the latest cyber security trends and technologies to continuously improve our security posture
• Participate in security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cyber security role, with at least 3 years in a threat analysis position
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles, methodologies, and best practices
• In-depth knowledge of security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
• Extensive experience in threat intelligence, incident response, and risk assessment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead and mentor a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly preferred
