Job Title: Cloud Reliability Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $152000 - $192000

Overview: As a Cloud Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall reliability and performance of our company's cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure that our cloud services are highly available, scalable, and secure. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise, as well as implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain highly available and scalable cloud infrastructure for our company's services
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure that applications are designed with reliability and scalability in mind
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve any infrastructure or service related issues that arise
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures
• Work closely with security teams to ensure that our cloud services meet all security and compliance requirements
• Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve the reliability and performance of our cloud infrastructure
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to any critical infrastructure issues
• Document all processes and procedures related to cloud infrastructure and services
• Mentor and train junior team members on cloud infrastructure best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Datadog
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards, such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations, including nights and weekends, as needed
