About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Systems Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our company's systems and infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our systems to ensure maximum performance and uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain systems and infrastructure to support our company's operations.
• Monitor system performance and take proactive measures to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to our systems, networks, and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new systems and infrastructure to support business needs.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation for system maintenance, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.
• Implement security measures to protect our systems and data from potential threats.
• Conduct regular system audits to identify and address any vulnerabilities or performance issues.
• Manage system backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal downtime in the event of a system failure.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other departments within the company.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve our systems and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems operations or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud computing.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, RHCE, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus.
