Job Title: Principal Cloud Network Architect

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $135 Per hour

Job Type: Contract

About the Role: As a Principal Cloud Network Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex cloud network solutions that meet the business needs of our clients. You will lead a team of network architects and engineers to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure network infrastructure on cloud platforms. Your expertise will be crucial in developing innovative solutions that align with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for cloud network solutions
• Design and implement highly available and scalable cloud network architectures, including virtual private clouds, network security, and connectivity options
• Develop and maintain network engineering standards and guidelines for cloud platforms
• Lead a team of network architects and engineers to ensure timely delivery of projects and provide technical guidance and mentorship
• Conduct regular network assessments and provide recommendations for optimization and improvement
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance our cloud network solutions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, security, and infrastructure, to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud network infrastructure

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network architecture and design, with a focus on cloud platforms
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex network solutions on cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Familiarity with network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team of network engineers
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
• Relevant certifications, such as CCIE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus
