Job Title: Junior Cloud Security Specialist

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $114000 - $144000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Cloud Security Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Cloud Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based systems and data. You will work closely with our senior security team to implement and maintain security protocols, policies, and procedures to protect our organization's cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various sources to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assessments to identify and address potential security risks.
• Implement and maintain security controls and measures to protect our cloud-based systems and data.
• Assist with the deployment and configuration of security tools and technologies to enhance our overall security posture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are followed in all aspects of our cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct regular security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security within our organization.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices in cloud computing.
• Participate in incident response and remediation efforts in the event of a security breach or incident.
• Assist with internal and external security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Generate and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in cloud security, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of security protocols, standards, and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools, such as Python, PowerShell, or Ansible, is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCSP are a plus.
