Position: Junior Distributed Systems Engineer

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $69 Per hour

As a Junior Distributed Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our company's distributed systems. You will work closely with the senior engineers to design, implement, and optimize our distributed systems infrastructure. This position requires a strong foundation in computer science, as well as a passion for tackling complex and challenging problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and develop efficient and scalable distributed systems
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality
• Perform system and performance testing to ensure the reliability and scalability of our systems
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of our distributed systems and propose solutions for improvement
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends related to distributed systems and implement them in our systems

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in software development, preferably in distributed systems
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python, C++)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts such as fault tolerance, scalability, and consistency
• Experience with distributed databases and data processing frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Spark)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven track record of learning new technologies and adapting to changing environments
• Passion for continuously learning and improving skills in distributed systems engineering
