Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead our data engineering team. As the Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and security. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical expertise as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance reviews
• Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
• Develop and maintain data warehousing and data lake solutions to support business analytics and reporting
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and monitoring processes
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide reliable and timely data for analysis and reporting
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new tools and technologies for data management and processing
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data infrastructure and processes
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data privacy and security compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities
• Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
