Lobox is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Junior Data Lake Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Data Lake Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data lake solutions to support our growing organization. This role requires strong technical skills, a deep understanding of data management principles, and a desire to continuously learn and innovate.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design data lake solutions that meet those needs

Develop and maintain data lake architecture, including data ingestion, storage, and retrieval

Design and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and security

Develop and maintain data models and metadata to support data discovery and analysis

Work with data engineers to optimize data pipelines for efficient and scalable data processing

Monitor and troubleshoot data lake performance issues and implement solutions to improve performance

Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data lake technologies and incorporate them into the organization's data strategy

Train and mentor junior team members on data lake architecture best practices and technologies

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

2+ years of experience in data lake architecture and design

Strong understanding of data management principles and data modeling techniques

Experience with data lake technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive

Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java

Knowledge of data governance and security best practices

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Desire to continuously learn and improve skills in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
