Position: Application Tester Lead

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $97 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Tester Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Application Tester Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our company's applications. You will be responsible for leading the testing efforts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of application testers to ensure timely and efficient testing of all software applications
• Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and processes to ensure the quality and functionality of applications
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to understand project requirements and identify areas for testing
• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scripts to validate application functionality and performance
• Identify and report defects, track and communicate testing progress, and provide recommendations for improvement
• Conduct root cause analysis and work with development teams to resolve issues and improve overall application quality
• Mentor and train team members on testing best practices and emerging technologies
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools, and implement them as appropriate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter, and LoadRunner
• Experience in testing web-based and mobile applications
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively
• ISTQB or CSTE certification is a plus
