Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Application Security Manager to join our team. As the Application Security Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our organization's applications, systems, and networks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential security vulnerabilities, develop and implement security strategies, and oversee the implementation of security protocols and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application security, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date on the latest security threats and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement application security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's applications.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security requirements are integrated into the application development process.
• Lead the design and implementation of security controls and measures to protect against potential cyber threats.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and technologies and make recommendations for improvement as necessary.
• Manage and mentor a team of application security professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the team.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all application security-related issues and incidents, and work with relevant teams to resolve them in a timely manner.
• Monitor and analyze security logs and reports to identify and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct regular training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in application security, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, standards, and best practices.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, with a focus on promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
