Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineering Consultant to join our dynamic team. As a Data Engineering Consultant, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the design, development, and implementation of data solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and requirements, and design data solutions that meet their objectives.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes to ensure efficient and reliable data processing and storage.
• Implement data governance and security measures to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulations.
• Design and implement data models and schemas to support data analysis and reporting.
• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation to prepare data for analysis.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Perform data quality checks to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide them with the necessary data sets and structures.
• Optimize data infrastructure and processes to improve performance and scalability.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data engineering, and identify opportunities to improve our data solutions and processes.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior data engineering team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data warehousing, ETL, and data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with data governance, data security, and data quality processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and analytically.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Relevant certifications in data engineering or related fields are a plus.
