Position: Data Warehouse Engineer Lead

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $138 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Warehouse Engineer Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of our company's data warehouse. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy, availability, and accessibility of our data for business analytics and reporting purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of our data warehouse, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and data scientists to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data warehouse performance, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Implement and enforce data warehouse security and access controls.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in data warehousing and implement them in our data warehouse environment.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data warehouse engineers on the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data warehousing, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python or Perl.
• Experience with data warehouse tools, such as Informatica, Talend, or IBM DataStage.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and their data warehousing services.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team.
