About the Role: As an Edge Computing Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of edge computing solutions for our organization. You will lead a team of engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy edge computing solutions that will enhance our operations and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineers in the development, implementation, and maintenance of edge computing solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and design edge computing solutions that meet their needs.
• Design and implement edge computing architectures that are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of edge computing solutions to ensure their functionality and performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for edge computing systems, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in edge computing to continuously improve our solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting a culture of learning and growth within the team.
• Collaborate with project managers to define project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of edge computing systems, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in edge computing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in edge computing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience in designing and implementing edge computing solutions using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS Greengrass.
• Extensive knowledge of networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Proven ability to lead a team and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA or Trello.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices in edge computing.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
