Salary: $190000 - $240000

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Apps Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Apps Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications that process large volumes of data, ensuring the efficient and accurate storage, retrieval, and analysis of data. In this role, you will work closely with our data scientists, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and robust solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Big Data applications using programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand data requirements and design efficient data processing workflows
• Optimize data ingestion, storage, and retrieval processes to improve application performance
• Build and maintain data pipelines to integrate with various data sources, including structured and unstructured data
• Perform data quality checks and implement data cleansing and transformation processes
• Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support data analytics and reporting
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments and provide timely resolution
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to Big Data applications and propose innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices
• Document technical specifications, test plans, and implementation details for all projects
• Mentor and coach junior developers on best practices and industry standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in developing Big Data applications
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Hive
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus
• Knowledge of machine learning and data mining techniques is a plus
