Position: Big Data Infrastructure Architect

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $135 Per hour

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Infrastructure Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's Big Data infrastructure. You will work closely with our data science and engineering teams to provide a robust and scalable infrastructure that can handle large volumes of data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a highly scalable and reliable Big Data infrastructure that meets the business requirements.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to understand their needs and provide technical guidance on infrastructure design and implementation.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the performance and efficiency of our Big Data infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines to ensure smooth and timely data processing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot any issues related to the Big Data infrastructure, and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• Ensure data security and compliance by implementing appropriate security measures and adhering to data privacy regulations.
• Create and maintain documentation of the Big Data infrastructure, including architecture diagrams, processes, and procedures.
• Mentor and train junior team members on Big Data technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Big Data Infrastructure Architect or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale Big Data infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience working with cloud-based Big Data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• In-depth understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
