Salary: $209000 - $256000
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Storage Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team. As a Big Data Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data storage systems. This role requires a deep understanding of Big Data technologies and the ability to work with large volumes of data. You will play a vital role in ensuring our data infrastructure is efficient, reliable, and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data storage solutions to support the company's Big Data initiatives.
- Develop and maintain storage architecture, including data replication, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, and implement optimizations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data storage requirements and design solutions to meet those needs.
- Evaluate emerging data storage technologies and make recommendations for adoption.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data storage systems and processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to Big Data storage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Big Data Storage Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
- Experience with data storage solutions such as HDFS, S3, and NAS.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
