Job Title: Big Data Systems Engineer

Salary: $310000 - $360000

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Big Data Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Big Data Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our large-scale data processing systems. You will work closely with our data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure that our data infrastructure is efficient, secure, and scalable. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about data and has a strong background in software engineering, data management, and cloud computing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data processing systems that can handle large volumes of data efficiently and reliably
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Build and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources
• Optimize data storage and retrieval for maximum performance and scalability
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate security measures and data governance practices
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new technologies that can improve our data systems
• Document and communicate technical solutions to stakeholders and team members
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and big data technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor���s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data processing and management
• Strong experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and/or Elasticsearch
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
• Experience with data warehousing solutions, data modeling, and ETL processes
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
