Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement data platform strategies and roadmaps in alignment with the company's goals and objectives
Manage and maintain the data platform, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security
Oversee the design, development, and deployment of data solutions, including data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data platform needs and requirements
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts, providing guidance and support in their professional development
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and address any performance issues within the team
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data management, and implement best practices to enhance the data platform
Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance
Monitor and troubleshoot data platform issues, and implement solutions in a timely manner
Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, and ensure the smooth integration of third-party tools and services with the data platform
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide insights to support decision making

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, and database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and Hadoop
Proven experience in leading and managing a team of data engineers and analysts
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with their data services
Deep understanding of data governance principles and best practices
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing and motivating team members
