Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team of data compliance specialists to ensure compliance with all data protection laws and regulations
Conduct regular audits to identify any potential compliance risks and develop solutions to mitigate them
Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures in line with industry best practices
Stay up-to-date with changes in data protection laws and regulations and ensure that our organization is compliant with any new requirements
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data protection is integrated into all business processes and systems
Act as the main point of contact for any data protection-related inquiries or complaints from internal and external stakeholders
Handle data breach incidents and work to resolve them in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on data protection policies and procedures
Participate in the development and implementation of data privacy impact assessments for new projects and initiatives
Evaluate and select data compliance tools and software to enhance our compliance efforts
Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of data compliance within the organization

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as data protection, privacy, or information technology
At least 5 years of experience in data compliance, preferably in a leadership role
In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
Experience leading a team and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Certifications in data protection, such as CIPP/E or CIPM, are highly desirable
