Job Title: IT Governance Consultant

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $138 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Governance Consultant to join our dynamic team. As an IT Governance Consultant, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining IT governance strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with industry standards and best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective management and control of IT assets, resources, and risks, while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IT governance frameworks and methodologies to facilitate the effective management and control of IT assets, resources, and risks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain IT governance policies, procedures, and standards that comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential gaps and vulnerabilities in IT governance processes and systems, and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
• Monitor and evaluate IT governance performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with IT governance policies and procedures.
• Develop and deliver training programs to increase awareness and understanding of IT governance standards and best practices among employees.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements related to IT governance, and make recommendations for enhancements or changes to existing policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of IT governance processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on IT governance matters, and provide guidance and support to senior management to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, or compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of IT governance frameworks and standards such as COBIT, ISO 27001, and NIST.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and security principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and audits is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or CGEIT is an asset.
