Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop API architecture to support the company's overall business strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into API designs
Develop and maintain documentation for all APIs, including API specifications, user guides, and technical documentation
Ensure API solutions are aligned with industry standards and best practices
Identify and resolve technical issues related to API development and integration
Conduct regular code reviews and ensure code quality and standards are met
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support API integration and adoption
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in API technology and make recommendations for improvement
Mentor and guide junior team members on API development and best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in API development and architecture
Strong understanding of API design principles, patterns, and best practices
In-depth knowledge of API technologies such as REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON
Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, Mulesoft, or AWS API Gateway
Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js
Proven experience in designing and implementing APIs that are scalable, secure, and maintainable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Relevant certifications in API development and architecture are a plus
