Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the business needs and design and implement monitoring solutions accordingly.
Configure, deploy, and maintain monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, and Prometheus to monitor the health and performance of systems, applications, and network devices.
Develop dashboards and reports to provide real-time visibility into system and application performance.
Create and maintain alerts and notifications to quickly identify and resolve any issues.
Work closely with the DevOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure proper monitoring of new systems and applications.
Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems and applications.
Monitor system capacity and plan for future growth to ensure scalability and performance.
Continuously evaluate and improve the monitoring infrastructure to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Document monitoring processes and procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing among team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Monitoring Engineer or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, and Prometheus.
Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
