Position: Cloud Migration Architect

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $138 Per hour

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Migration Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud migration strategies for our clients. You will work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and develop customized solutions to migrate their applications, data, and infrastructure to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their current IT infrastructure, business goals, and technical requirements for cloud migration.
• Design and implement cloud migration strategies that align with clients' business objectives and technical requirements.
• Develop detailed migration plans and timelines, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and contingency plans.
• Work closely with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient execution of migration plans.
• Conduct cloud readiness assessments and identify potential roadblocks to migration.
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients throughout the migration process.
• Monitor and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the migration process.
• Ensure compliance with security and data privacy regulations during migration.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud migration tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Lead knowledge sharing and training sessions for team members and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and migration.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Docker.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of security and data privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Certifications in cloud technologies, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus.
