Job Title: Infrastructure Specialist

Location: New York, New York, United States

Salary: $115 Per hour

Position Overview: As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our company's IT infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and manage our network, server, and storage systems to support our business operations. You will be part of a dynamic team of IT professionals, collaborating with other departments to ensure the highest level of system availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain our company's network, server, and storage infrastructure, including hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and availability of all network and server systems through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Perform routine system backups and disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and server-related issues, working closely with other IT teams to resolve complex problems.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for infrastructure upgrades and enhancements.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for network and server equipment and services.
• Collaborate with other IT teams, including security and database administration, to develop and implement IT policies and procedures related to network and server systems.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of new IT projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network and server administration, preferably in a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level network and server infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security.
• Experience with server operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, and Unix.
• Proficient in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or MCSE are a plus.
