Position: NLP Developer
Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $190000 - $224000
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled NLP Developer to join our dynamic team. As an NLP Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing natural language processing (NLP) algorithms and models to extract insights from large volumes of unstructured data. You will work with a team of data scientists, engineers, and linguists to design and build cutting-edge NLP solutions that will help us gain a competitive advantage in our industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement NLP algorithms and models to extract insights from unstructured data sources such as text, audio, and video
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and linguists to design and build NLP solutions that meet business requirements
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest NLP techniques and technologies
- Continuously improve the performance and accuracy of existing NLP models
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize NLP algorithms and models
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Keep up with project deadlines and deliver high-quality results within tight timelines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in NLP development
- Strong understanding of NLP concepts and techniques such as tokenization, part-of-speech tagging, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, topic modeling, etc.
- Proficient in programming languages commonly used in NLP such as Python, Java, and R
- Experience with popular NLP libraries and frameworks such as NLTK, spaCy, Gensim, and TensorFlow
- Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning techniques and frameworks
- Knowledge of text preprocessing techniques and tools such as regular expressions, stemming, and lemmatization
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
