Location: San Francisco, California, United States
Salary: $190000 - $224000
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Big Data Developer to join our team. As a Big Data Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data processing systems. You will play a crucial role in our company's data strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement large-scale data processing systems using technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for real-time and batch data processing.
- Collaborate with data scientists to design and implement data models and algorithms.
- Work with data architects to ensure data solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and debug data-related issues in production.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools in the Big Data space.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years of experience in Big Data technologies.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
