Salary: $171000 - $208000

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Hadoop Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of our big data solutions. As a Hadoop Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Hadoop-based applications and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for big data technologies and a strong understanding of Hadoop architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Hadoop-based applications and systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Optimize and tune existing Hadoop applications for maximum performance
• Develop and implement data ingestion processes from multiple sources into Hadoop ecosystem
• Create and maintain data pipelines for data processing, transformation, and storage
• Develop and implement security measures to protect Hadoop infrastructure and data
• Troubleshoot and resolve any Hadoop-related issues
• Stay current with the latest Hadoop technologies and trends and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades
• Document all development processes and procedures for future reference
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

Qualifications:

• Bachelor���s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Hadoop development
• Strong understanding of Hadoop architecture and ecosystem components such as HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, Hive, Pig, Spark, and Kafka
• Experience with Hadoop distributions like Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of ETL tools and techniques
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
